Matern Ease
Existing health apps for family planning are fragmented, leading to confusion. We need a comprehensive app providing accurate information and personalized guidance for a smoother journey towards parenthood.
There is a significant gap in the market for a comprehensive health application that effectively supports women through all stages of family planning and pregnancy. Current applications are either overly specialized or lack the critical features needed for a complete and integrated experience. Consequently, women are forced to navigate between various disjointed resources—ranging from health experts and home remedies to multiple apps and websites—resulting in a confusing, time-consuming, and often incomplete process. This fragmentation not only leads to inefficiency and stress but also heightens the risk of missing essential information and guidance necessary for a safe and informed journey through pregnancy planning and execution.

Overview
My Role
As the team lead for this project, I spearheaded our efforts to explore a wide range of healthcare domains. We conducted an in-depth analysis and uncovered critical issues within the pregnancy care system. This led us to develop and present the innovative concept of 'Matern Ease,' aimed at addressing these flaws. I was responsible for guiding the team through every phase of the project, ensuring we successfully brought our vision to life.

" Our goal is to create a women's health app that supports family planning, manages pregnancy data, books doctor appointments, and provides personalized healthcare plans. "
Sita is a hardworking flower vendor who sells flowers in the local market. She is seven months pregnant with her second child and lives in a small village with limited access to healthcare facilities. Her husband works as a laborer and they struggle to make ends meet. Sita's daily routine involves long hours of standing and walking, which adds to her physical strain.
-
Lack of Support: Sita has little family help. Her husband is often away, and her elderly in-laws can't assist. She feels overwhelmed managing her home and flower business.
-
Too Many Documents: The hospital demands many documents for registration and records, which Sita struggles to organize and understand. She has trouble maintaining and presenting them during visits.
-
Healthcare Access: Traveling to the hospital is tough. Public transport is unreliable, and the hospital is far. The journey is exhausting and uncomfortable, especially now.
Pain Point
-
Support System: Needs more emotional and physical support during her pregnancy. Assistance from healthcare workers or community support groups could be beneficial.
-
Simplified Documentation: Requires help in organizing and understanding the necessary medical documents. A simplified process for handling paperwork would ease her stress.
-
Accessible Healthcare: Desires more accessible and affordable healthcare options, including mobile clinics or local health camps.
